Vintage Dreaming...

It's Monday. I'm working. And I'm exhausted. It doesn't help that the doctor, that I'm supposed to be working with today, well...he's running late. So I have nothing to do, but sit here and wait.

So I found an empty computer, and started to entertain myself. Most "normal" people would probably "troll" their favorite Target, or even Amazon. Me? I read blogs. Then find links to AMAZING Etsy shops...

Just look at these dresses! I would totally wear them for our gigs. Or just because. Add a cute pair of heels for a fun night out. Or a pair of cowboy boots, with the first pink dress. Too adorable!

And these four...I'm speechless. That wedding dress, well it actually makes me want to get married! And that's saying A LOT! But these dresses are way too adorable. Completely out of my budget. But vintage anything, especially clothes, makes me heart melt! Happy Monday! ♥

Feels "Old School" to Me

My friends' little girls, got a stack of board games, this year for Christmas. Pretty exciting. At least I think so. I was always a BIG fan of games when I was little. Actually, I'm still a big fan of them. :)

So when I got the call about "The Very Hungry Caterpillar Game," I was very excited! They're saving the game, so I can play with them. Yes, I think I'm the only one that enjoys things like this. You know, playing with the kids for hours and hours..."Old School" style. Anyway that you put it, I'm pumped to go home. Just so I can play this game! It's one of our favorite books to read. You know, when they come over to my house for a sleepover, or when I go visit them.

Until then, I'm going to enjoy some family time. One of my cousins is turning 1 today. In my family, that means a big birthday party. All I have to say is...there is pizza in my very near future! ♥

Scalloped Cowl

In case you didn't know, I LOVE scarves! All of them. Crochet scarves, fancier chiffon scarves, and the $5 ones from Wal-Mart. I sincerely LOVE them all! Honestly, 10 months out of the year, I'm wearing a scarf. In the "Dead of Winter" it's the only thing that makes me happy, when it's 20 degrees outside.

But lately, I've really been into the "cowls." You know, the round scarf like things that are incredibly warm. Yes, those things. I've searched Etsy high and low. There are some gorgeous ones...but I'm not too quick to spend $30 on 1 cowl. So I made up a pattern. I've already made myself 4!

Do see this gorgeous picture? It's of a free pattern from Lion Brand yarn. I'm absolutely IN LOVE here! But I can't find the right size of crochet hook. I have the yarn, and the pattern printed. But you can bet your life on this...when I find the crochet hook, I'm making this immediately!

Candy Dreams

I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day. Something tells me, that being a single woman, doesn't help much in that area either. But I'm just not a fan of all that pink, red, hearts, love, and such type of a holiday. Sue me, but I'm not.

I am however a HUGE candy fan. Those little conversation hearts...those are some of my absolute favorites! So when I saw these bad boys...I was in heaven!

I just might have to make 1 of every color. :)

Honestly, who could resist?

And you know they are calorie free. Very figure friendly!

If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm going to be doing some sewing in my future. Perhaps I'll wait until after the Craft Fair. Or maybe, I might make a couple to sell. I don't know yet. What I do know is, I need to go fabric shopping! ♥
